[mythtv-users] Maxtor Diamond plus 9

I added a new Maxtor Diamond plus 9 80GB 8MB Cache 7200 RPM drive as my
secondary HD so that I can record more shows in MythTV. 

I find that the drive is making a irritating "Grrr Grrr" noise when
recording shows(writing). Watching (reading) doesn't make such noise,
though the HD is not quite silent when reading too.

Has anybody else experienced this or have I just got a defective disk ?
