If I understand correctly which card you have, then this is a DVB-S card, and you should have a look at the messages titled "DVB Status", and also anything else with DVB in the subject.

The long and short of it is that DVB support is coming together, but for now you will be doing a lot of manual setup.

Also, there are a couple of nice guides from a few days back (about wed/thurs last week) on how to setup your DVB-S card.  You can also drop me a line offlist if you need any tips

Has anyone built a MythTV system with the "Hauppauge Nexus Satelite
System" capture card?  This card will received the satellite signal
directly without needing a satellite receiver.  The card will encode the
signal to MPEG2 in realtime.
