[mythtv-users] controlling size of mythbackend log

How do I automatically control the size the of the mythbackend logfile.

Just noticed that the /var filesystem was filled with 7.5gb of stuff, turns 
out the the mythbackend log file was 7.5gb in size, mostly filled with 

VIDIOCSYNCx: INVALID ARGUMENT
x= 0 or 1

Generally speaking what would cause this behaviour? It appears to be working 
and recording shows correctly....
