I was seeing this as well with my recordings recorded in RT-JPEG but once
I switched to MPEG-4 it went away. I did lots of searching of the
archives and came to the conclusion that the mplayer patch originally
didn't support RT-JPEG but there were reports of it working later on. I
just decided I wanted MPEG-4 anyway due to smaller file sizes and haven't
looked back.
