Works great, even for sattelite fed local channels.  You will want to keep an eye on the list and archives pertaining to controlling the sattelite box with lirc though.  If your box is an RF only remote control and doesn't respond to IR signals you are out of luck I believe.

I was wondering anyone is using MythTV &XMLTV to pickup listings for
their DirectTV or Dish network, and how well it works, if at all.


I'm very interested in using my Duron933(OCed from 700;-) ) to setup a
MythTV box, but I don't want to bother if it's not going to work with my
satelite:)
