[mythtv-users] why are the mythtv stream files different fromstandard codecs?

I grab the patch I used from:
http://dijkstra.csh.rit.edu:8088/~mdz/mythtv/
And since then the patch has been updated for rc5. I actually modifed a
gentoo ebuild to apply the patch. When I got the patch it was for rc4,
so I'm not sure if there were changes made to the patch since the rc0
version you have? What directory are you in when you run the patch?
Maybe you need to drop down a directory????
