I assume he meant the status of the Dutch translation since he obviously 
knew about the wiki page (that's where he got your email address and the 
link to create a Trac translation ticket).

  While it is possible to submit translation updates for -fixes and they 
will get committed your effort should be put on master...

We use the content of master to create the -fixes branch, never the 
reverse so any translation work you would do only in -fixes would get loss.

Careful, if they use the same database/talk with each other this will 
cause problems (both the DB structure and the protocol versions change 
over time).

Did, by any chance, have a chance to review his work, can I commit this
