Nobody is going to force you to use it.  :)

You should probably know, however, that *every* acclaimed skin for
XBMC (Aeon, Aeon Stark, MediaStream, etc) uses proprietary fonts.
They either include them illegally (Mediastream, original Aeon) or
have you download them from illicit rapidshare links (Aeon Stark).  So
in fact, those skins are *not* using any of the "half million free
fonts..."  Because the truth is, the quality and especially the
kerning on most free fonts suck.  So my options are leave it to the
user to procure decent fonts in a legit way, or distribute them
illegally...

... and that's not how I roll.
