You should all have received an email from me giving you your username and
password to log in to the MythTV SVN server. Please do so and feel free to
change your password or setup ssh keys/etc.
I've gone ahead and created branches for each of you to use:
ldunning - mythweather-revamp
jhunt - settings-revamp
mwoods - windows-port
jhurliman - mythmusic-ui
jmusits - mythexport
asoboleva - multiuser
kroot - auto-configuration
rrobertson - commflagging
adaniels - mythui
nstephan - mythweb-ui
You'll need to do the following to check out a source tree. As an example:
svn co svn+ssh://<user>@svn.mythtv.org/var/lib/svn/branches/<branch>/mythtv
Very similar to the instructions on http://svn.mythtv.org, except using
svn+ssh. You guys _do_ have full access to the source tree, but please stick
to your branch. On your initial checkout of the source, you'll likely be
asked for your password 3 or 4 times. Don't worry, it's just svn being
weird. =)
Check out the links to the subversion book on the front page of
http://svn.mythtv.org if you need help with SVN, or just ask on the IRC
channel ( #mythtv on irc.freenode.net as most of you have found out
already ). Oh, and, you might want to try and use the IRC channel as your
first source for answers to questions - it's likely that there'll be at least
a few people around that are capable of helping with source issues, and it's
generally faster than email. I'm there the majority of the day (Chutt), and
Chris Pinkham (Captain_Murdoch) and Chris Petersen (xris) are generally
available as well. Daniel's never on, though. Of course, if you don't get
an answer there, you can also use this list, or the big (public) mythtv-dev
list for questions.
One final thing: I'd like a weekly status report from each student sent to
this list. Nothing in-depth, just a few sentences covering what you worked
on in the previous week, and a sentence or two about what you're planning on
doing in the next week. Every Friday sound ok?
Any questions?
Isaac
