The trailing dot has always been a problem on Windows filesystems. At 
one time we changed the GUI theme folder name to "G.A.N.T" (with no 
final period)--to allow it to work on Windows file systems. 
https://code.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/2897  I'm not sure why the 
MythArchive theme wasn't changed then.
