Sorry you do not like my splash screen. I will sort out a way to prevent 
it in your case. Perhaps it should not show if there is no wake-on-lan 
being used. Alternatively (or in addition) allow the user to turn it off 
based on a setting. In case there is a permanent error getting to the 
database or the backend, it will still have to show to give you the 
options of retrying, exiting, etc.
