Wouldn't it fit better into the Recording Rule/Template so that it
could be disabled for specific rules ? Or completely in the template.

Any thoughts on the EITpf ? 
I know US EIT has a limited guide data, but it does have now/next doesn't it ? 
Could the UK patch work for the US ? 
I haven't tested it yet.
