Lawrence,
Generally I have very good experience with with Your patches.
Usually You are addressing functional aspects easily recognized by user so for me Your patches are always welcome.
Regarding JYA comment:
I remember this situation from 1.5y ago.
I apply almost full set of Your patches at that time and results were very good except broken LiveTV history walking.
Your patch set introduced regression in this area.
This function - at that time - was recently nicely fixed by JYA so I fully understand JYA frustration by this regression.
IIRC I have to revert _more-or-less_ revert set of patches like You mention in JYA replay:
0128796 Revert "Player: Enable AVSync to recover quicker after a seek or program change"
d08503e Revert "Player: Finer a/v sync adjustments"
2bdb7cc Revert "Player: Amalgamate and simplify SwitchTo and JumpToProgram"
6634791 Revert "Player: Increase OpenFile timeout to allow playing encrypted isos on a remote FE"
I wasn’t happy to revert them as some of above patches gives me really fast playback skip/ffw and practically not noticeable LiveTV transitions.
I remember, ideally for me was to fix above patches to not regressing LiveTV history walking.
At that time I remember this can resulting with almost perfectly working system for me :-)
Pls keep Your great work!
