I agree that it should be addressed, but in order to insure that it
does not impact others, you need to provide logs and testing
capability (or good EIT examples) from not only the US but
around the world (which is why it takes time to address).  This
was mentioned in ticket #11739, which this ticket is likely to be
closed as a duplicate of.

I have to say, that in the US you are likely being penny wise
and pound foolish of not using the much higher quality Schedules
Direct EPG source.  It has much longer (around) 12-13 days
of high quality EPG data, meaning (re)scheduling works well.
At (about) $2/mo cost, it is well worth it (if for no other reason
to reduce your frustration level).

Yes, it is a workaround, but it is a workaround that can be
performed now, with the available resources available to the
project.  Personally, I would rather the devs work on other
tickets and activities than saving the few the $2/mo (of course,
of there are thousands who want to save $2/mo, they might
be able to send even half that to the devs to work on the ticket :-).
