I was thinking about the same, using LEFT/RIGHT, to scroll through the
display group.
Another thought was to have LEFT as before to move to the recordinglist,
from where you use UP/DOWN and having RIGHT to select the display group of
this title, instead of using a new key binding (+).
I am quicker with LEFT/RIGHT, than I am with PREV/NEXTVIEW, as a need to go
up on the remote and they are between other keys, so hitting them is a
little bit difficult.

There are several places where we use four buttons:
Playback: (depending how configured) Commercial Skip, FFWD or using 2
different time intervals.
Program Guide: Day left/right, screen portion left/right
NetVision, I made a patch to skip 1 Pages and 10 Pages

There would be other places where such functionality could be needed,
View Scheduled, scroll through the days
System Status, to scroll through the left list

Reusing LEFT/RIGHT or using the two-paging (two pair keys) variant would
need a Myth wide decision, so not to confuse people.

My view is, that each even such small functionality, needs its own key
definition, so no reusing/overloading of Global Keys. A user can than still
bind LEFT/RIGHT as the KeyPress code normally processes the defined keys
before processing the global KeyPress code (is my statement correct?).
However reusing Global Keys I think is not possible in the Keybinding
Screen, for me it is not clear why I could not do that.

Mike wants to recode the key binding functionality, time to brainstorm.

Remote keys are limited, so my biggest thought is to reuse them more.
I use Jump buttons, but when in Teletext, I would like them to be disabled,
so I could use the 2x4 keys there.
Or in Playback general, disable Jump buttons, so that I have more keys
available for PIP, subtitles, audio tracks, DVD Jumping.
I think everybody would understand to exit first before Jump buttons are
active.
