MythTV doesn't support USB dongles, it supports libcec, which in turn 
supports the RPi and Pulse-Eight devices.  It's similar to how we don't 
directly support (most) tuner cards.  It really doesn't support CEC 
anyway, since the only feature currently supported is the ability to 
bind a key to turn your TV on or off.
