[mythtv] DVD dropping back to the frontend at the menu. PCM_DVD problem?

I'm getting the same thing with some DVD rips I did previously with
AnyDVD that used to play back under mythtv 0.25 but now fail with
0.26, so this does seem to be some sort of regression.

The front end shows similar messages to the report in this thread.
