Are the chanids unique for the HDPVR (e.g 1000-1999?)

If so, here's a pared down version of my upcoming script
http://pastebin.ca/2147139 that will print:

   HDPVR (cardid 7) started recording The Daily Show With Jon Stewart at 2012-05-10 22:00:00

   Blue Bloods starts recording in: 22:50:08.884448

  or: HDPVR is idle
