Magic! I wasn't expecting to see this appear so quickly - thanks.

I was aware that the use of cout was questionable, although now you
mention CLI-usage, I'm still wondering. I was imagining that --fifodir
and --fifoinfo would always be used from CLI albeit backend user
job scripts. What will be the effect of using logging on scripts that
make automatic use the output? If it's just that a data and time will
be prepended then no probs, but if there are cases where the info
doesn't make it to stdout then that could be a problem.

Anyway, I'll check out latest fixes/0.24 and give it a go.
