I'm able to recreate this exact assert failure by:
1. Start playback of a recorded show in MPEG4 (transcoded from MPEG2
by mythtranscode).
2. Exit playback after 1-2 seconds.
3. Repeat step 1+2 up to 20 times.

I've recreated the mentioned error 3 times within the last 10 minutes
with the above steps, and as a bonus, I also got the following error
one of the times:
Assertion '!api' failed at pulse/mainloop-signal.c:122, function
pa_signal_init(). Aborting.

I'm unable to recreate the assert failure on my (untranscoded) MPEG2
recordings, I've tried repeating the above steps 60 times on a MPEG2
recording with no failures at all.

The MPEG4 recording I used to test this is similar to the attached
recording in #8927, so you can probably also recreate with this
sample.

This is btw. on r26566 on Mythbuntu 10.04.

Best regards
Kenni
