[mythtv] Missing Mythweather us_nws/animaps.pl script

Gavin,

Thanks for the reply - I've just learnt something. After a quick search through the mythtv-commits archives, sure enough I've found mention of the animaps.pl removal. I was under the mistaken impression that commits were sent to the dev list, rather than having their own list. Nube error - apologies.

I think I've boiled the issue I was seeing down to either:

1) My browser caching the missing script error message, blocking my subsequent attempts to change MythWeather settings via MythWeb

or

2) MythWeb being unable to initiate a rescan of the weather source scripts (unlike MythWeather on the frontend).

I'll investigate further and see if a bug submission is required.

Cheers,

Mike

It has not gone missing. It has been removed. If you are going to run trunk, you really should read what the commits to trunk have been, or at least the 0.24 release notes which outline the changes.

Rescan your weather sources, remove the old animated maps, and add new ones that use wunderground instead of TheWeatherChannel. We were in violation of TOS for TWC, as far as anyone could tell, so I removed the use of their data.
