David, I have been using Mark's patches *instead* of mine with good successes.

I have not had time to try his newer versions (within the last week).
The version I am using has some A/V sync issues after a skip, but it
sounds like the new versions fix that.  Other than the A/V convergence
after a skip, the version I am using works very well.

It looks like Mark may have fixed the source of the problem, while my
patches fixed the symptom.
