I think you meant mythtv recordings. Whereas Kevin thought about media
library (mythvideo plugin).
In mythvideo plugin you can play only one folder and do it sequentially
(select folder -> press I (info) -> play folder).
It has several glitches. For example it will not play subdirectories
contents and playing could not be interrupted (fixed in ticket #8130).
I have in my mind rewrite of PlayFolder() to have option to play
randomly. I even start coding, but it is not finished.
Anyway - Kevin, best way to contribute is to open new ticket and add
there your patch. If you have questions or would like to start
discussion send it here and reference that ticket you created.
