It basically means that one of the devs has decided to make maintenance 
of said plugin their responsibility.  If you look at when plugins have 
been dropped in the past, it is typically because the plugin has fallen 
into disrepair, or needs to be updated to continue working with changes 
in MythTV, and no one wants to do the work.
