We did kinda agree on full name + full email address.  Makes tracking
down authors later a lot easier should a licensing issue (for example)
come up.

The committer was set correctly.  I think perhaps it was a typo...
commit --author="Full Name <email at blah.com>"

Yes.  That is the precise format that github sends those dates in, and
I haven't had the time to parse one of them to reformat.  It's just a
minor annoyance though.
