Yes, it's been broken for a long time (since 0.22 or so?).  It only logs 
the messages when remote preview generation is used.  The recent change 
to always use remote preview generation in trunk just makes it visible 
on systems where it wasn't visible before.

Note, also, that it's a useless log message--everything is still 
working.  Fortunately, the change to always use remote preview 
generation will make it easier to fix the code so it doesn't need to do 
the stuff that's causing the useless log message.
