[mythtv] WriteStringlist errors

This seems to be a generic error, seen one thread which suggests it is (for that poster) occuring when watching liveTV, another person is seeing it when they are watching Tv and performing a recording. One of these was responded to as 'fixed' so I am starting a new thread, as it is possibly a different problem with the same symptom.
Not knowing which one, or whether it is related. I do not think that there are any IO bottlenecks, but it seems to me, that people are reporting this when there is more IO going on than not. I am seeing it even when the systems are 'quiet' (though not as frequent).

Setup is
MBE - hardware raid card, mirror for OS and DB, raid 5 for myth storage only, USB adapter 3x USB Haupphauge DVB-T
SBE - single disk OS, software raid 5 for myth storage only

Prior to version 21441 I received the error maybe once per day. Since updating (21583 [28th August], 21565 and now 21673), the system has logged >100k lines with this error.
I am happy to restart/recompile with any -v flags or debug/trace as necassary. These are only logged to the MBE (but I guess that nothing actually connects to the SBE). Neither the SBE or MBE are heavily loaded at most times (mythweb and gallery2, samba shares etc., but the errors do not seem to coincide).
