MythTV currently does not support the use of external channel change 
scripts with digital capture cards, making this ticket a feature request 
without a patch.  Therefore, for this to be a valid ticket, it would 
require a patch /as well as/ a valid (and non-infringing) use case for 
the new functionality.

Ticket #1422, on which you previously commented ( 
http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/1422#comment:2 ), was a valid ticket 
because the DVB input options were always shown--even for analog 
(non-DVB) capture cards for which they weren't valid.  Therefore, the 
analog options (including the external channel changer) weren't 
available for analog cards.  [9209] fixed the setup page so that the DVB 
options were shown only for digital cards, making the analog options 
show up for analog cards.

Please keep any further discussion on the mailing list (and not the bug 
database/ticket).
