Hi,
(Note: this is a thread coming from a post of mine to linuxtv list, as
directed so by Janne Grunau).
I'm starting to see lately the following message appear on my MythTV
backend log:
2008-01-24 10:49:13.653 Error: offset>181, pes length & current can not be
queried
This message just keeps appearing from time to time after some idle time
performing EIT scanning. Usually when this happens it means it has caused
some kind of (minor) corruption to the database, as indicated by the
following command (I've stopped mythbackend before issuing the check):
myisamchk -e /var/lib/mysql/mythconverg/*.MYI:

The errors above can be corrected easily by issuing the same command with -f
instead of -e. Also I don't know if they are really serious or no, but
anyway I'd like to know whats the cause of this. Here you have the specs for
my setup:
- Barebone Asus Pundit P1-AH2 (Athlon64 3800+, 1 GB Ram)
- Gentoo x86_64
- Hauppauge Nova-T 500 - HG drivers + lastest 4 patches published
- MythTV 0.20.2_p14972 (lastest stable in Portage)
- MySQL 5.0.44-r2 (lastest stable in Portage)
Best regards,
Eduard
