The problem is in qmake, if you look at the install target it generated in
the Makefile you will see it doesn't quote INSTALL_ROOT consistently. So you
end up with: path with space/targetdir and "path with
space/targetdir/target" or "path with space/targetdir" and ""path with
space"/targetdir/target".

Opening a bug with Trolltech is on my list, just hasn't risen to the top yet
(I'll try to get to it tonight).
