FWIW, the patch at http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/3489
seems to have fixed this problem, however, after a week or two of
testing, it seems that one or more tuners become unusable (the BE
continues to work, just some recordings end up empty and if livetv
picks one of the tuners thats out to lunch it doesnt work). stopping
and restarting the BE clears the problem until it recurs, maybe a a
day or two later.
