I had to recompile everything with the proper flags. The prebuffer
pauses I got after the ffmpeg sync (1) were caused by wrong configure
flags like wrong cpu and missing mmx. I just added --cpu=i486 which is
used by the Ubuntu builds. After switching to pentium3 which also
automatically includes mmx everything was fine.
