Well, interesting results. First off, commenting out those three lines
doesn't help in any noticeable way. For some reason my OSD looks slanted to
the right. In other words, what should be vertical lines are now diagonal.
Also, I can see interlace effects on interlaced material watching on an
interlaced display - especially during any movement. SD playback is barely
usable on my 5700LE but more on my 6800GT. HD is still impossible on the
6800 - even 720p content. Again, this is all with NO deinterlacers turned
on. However, I have to say that the quality of the display of SD material is
MUCH improved. It's like night and day. Apparently GL scales much better
than Xv.

What type of performance gains do you hope to gain through tuning? Can you
see a point in the future when it's possible to view HD content in OpenGL?
