I forgot to mention that if you are compiling with firewire
enabled you need to run "./configure --prev" before recompiling.
Otherwise the wrong code may be compiled (depending on installed
libraries) and you will fail in the linking step.

If you are using firewire you should read the commit message
for changeset 12618.
