Interesting - I have:

$ tv_grab_uk_rt --version 
XMLTV module version 0.5.45
This is tv_grab_uk_rt.in version 1.93, 2006/11/30 19:36:30

$ tv_grab_uk_rt --capabilities
baseline
manualconfig
cache
share
preferredmethod

It looks to have been installed just last week (the ebuild looks to have
been last updated just before Christmas).  I'd guess the tv_grab_uk_rt
is from an older version of XMLTV (the XMLTV version is probably being
read from a common perl module) - make sure you don't have an old copy
lying around somewhere that's being called by mistake.
