Interesting... Deleting the theme and osd-cache directories was one of 
the things I've tried...

I'm also seeing this with Stuart's own Metallurgy [which I'm giving a 
go], but only for the specific moment when I get a failed-to-lock 
warning - otherwise I don't see it and the OSD is full size.

I'll delete again, and give it another try.

Is there any specific verbose logging worth turning on?
