[mythtv] mythbackend CPU goes nuts after viewing recorded previews in mythweb

I'm seeing the following with [15188] in SVN. I've been seeing it  
since [15129]. What happens is that sometimes (not always, but > 75%  
of the time) when I enter mythweb to view recorded programs, it takes  
a very long time to display. Eventually the webpage comes up fine, but  
forever after that mythbackend is taking huge CPU, sometimes 99% of  
both cores. It never recovers. Here's what I see in the log:
