I still think you should use Freevo (with Skype or other applications) 
or, if you really need Myth, write videoout_sdl support.  Ripping the 
internal player out of Myth isn't the "Myth" solution.

Also, please change the subject back to what it was originally when 
replying to a message in a digest and please don't top post.   The 
subject helps others to follow the thread (even if you lose the 
threading headers, people can simply search by the same subject) and 
top-posting breaks the flow of conversations.
