interesting. Is my memory correct in that MythWeb uses the same pixmap
generation system to create its thumbnails? I ask because I get this
error doing two things, one visiting the mythfrontend Watch Recordings
screen and the other in visiting the mythweb Currently Recorded page,
both of which need to create thumbnails (and the mythweb current
recordings only show a few thumbnails, then the backend "freezes" and
must be restarted.)

seems like they could both be related to the backend pixmap generation.
