[mythtv] [OT] MePo at 100% CPU, OpenGL to blame: why?

This is something I'm seeing more often lately. The Xorg driver has it's
own libglx.so which isn't a symlink and it's own nvidia_drv.so which in
openSUSE 10.3 at least is a symlink to nv_drv.so. The telltale sign is
that the NVidia splash doesn't appear, also /var/log/Xorg.0.log says
those modules are both Xorg. For glxgears the frame rate on my FX5500
256M card drops to around 184 fps from over 1400 fps with the NVidia
driver.
