Hi Markus.
The Mac OS X videoout chain uses 2YUV.
libmythtv/yuv2rgb.* recently added an MMX
optimised converter. The Mac video hardware
can use 2YUV directly though, so there is
no back-conversion needed.
Andrew's new videoout_corevideo module
(see http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/2381)
may have future enhancements to use Apple's
CoreImage filters. I don't know how many
VideoFrame buffers they might require, though.
There is probably a bit of overlap here?
