[mythtv] mpeg2 decodes and funny quirks

Here's a few observations I've had over the last while:

If I set the mpeg2 decoder (setup -> TV -> playback or somewhere in
there) to:

Standard: Everything looks fine, and with titivillus-OSD my menu is
BLUE and grey (i.e. highlighted item is blue) (not sure if that is
controlled by titivillus-OSD, BTW)

xvmc: Playback looks fine (no different than standard or libmpeg2,
really), but the menu flickers like mad and is grey on grey! Did I
compile myth wrong? I did enable xvmc...

libmpeg2: The menu is also grey on grey, and when I fast-forward, the
fast-forward STOPS after a few seconds. The machine isn't frozen, as
I can press 'back/exit' or 'fast-forward' or whatever and it will do
what I tell it. But fast-forward just stops (and pauses?) after a few
seconds.

For now I'm using standard as it works fine and looks good, but when/
if I move to HD content, I wonder if I need to switch to one of the
faster methods, in which case things aren't quite so rosy.

All tests done with mythtv-0.20-snv Revision: 11622, but this has
been going on since 0.19.1 at least.
