There have been several commits related to and modifying the behavior of 
this change, so your best bet is to update to SVN head to test.  As a 
matter of fact, you might want to wait until tomorrow (or so) to try it 
out (or, at least read the thread at 
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/dev/230988#230988 
specifically the three messages that haven't yet made it to the archive, 
but that should follow 
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/dev/231022#231022 ;).
