This would fit, as the bookmark is set when you use Delete recording
to exit from viewing a program - which I do 90% of the time.

Would a solution be to query the PreviewFromBookmark setting in the
conditional statement?

To be honest their seems to be more timestamps than you can shake a
stick at, so I'm not 100% sure I understand exactly what the code is
trying to do.

I'm assuming the correct path out of this function for my scenario is
to return the existing previewPixmap?
