already running 7676 ;-)

I upgraded g++ (with some other packages that I wish I could remember right 
now), compiled and installed 8446 with gcc-4.0 and this all began.

My worry is that even if I format and reinstall everything from scratch, I'll 
still end up with the same packages as I have now and have everything not 
work. (Of course, I could then install Debian32 instead of 64 and get XvMC 
working, which might be nice?).

I'm going to try installing a media player that uses libasound tmrw and see if 
that has the same stuttering problem. I'm also going to try installing the 
old stable version of libasound and compile as well as do a compile with the 
testing version.
