[mythtv] Ticket #1219: LiveTV takes a while to start, and video jerks forwards

OK,

I've now finished the search for the changeset that slowed the channel
change down. It seems to be 7961. The slowdown is from about 6 to 10
secs. Attached is a
table of tested revisions and their channel change times. I hope this
helps to nail
the problem. I suppose that when the OSD got disabled in my previous
tests, also
the signal monitoring stuff got disabled, that's why the slowdown was
not there.
Only an amateur guess, though.

I'm available at IRC for debugging help.
