Yep, it was due to an earlier change [10702]...

It took checking ten different revisions before I found it. :/

Anyway, I checked in a temporary fix for that, plus I applied a slightly
different version of Frank's patch. I didn't add the reset, if it were
needed we would have needed it before [10887], so I'm assuming the reset
is implicit or unneeded.
