Channel numbers for different stations have to be unique on the system.  
Channel numbers are the way you tell Myth which channel to watch in 
LiveTV, so if they're not unique, you'd have no way to specify a change 
to the desired channel.

That's the proper way to fix it (specifying different channel numbers).

Automatically?  Won't that mean users won't know which channels are 
which?  If they don't change it should just be a one-time set up (which 
can be done very quickly through MythWeb's channel editor).
