On my remote, Ch+ is the up arrow, Ch- is the down arrow,
Vol- is the left arrow, and Vol+ is the right arrow..   So
in the guide I want Ch+ to move the guide UP (which is reducing
the channel#) and I want Ch- to move the guide DOWN (which is
increasing the channel#)...

So, I think the current behavior is exactly correct.
