[mythtv] How to configure MythTv for Leadtek PVR 2000 (h/w encoder)

Right, well I appear to have got a little further on this quest with the newer 
version of the driver.  Having setup the h/w encoder using cx8800 et al, I am 
setting the card up as a PVR250/350 etc in mythtv-setup.  However when I try 
to watch livetv I am getting a blank screen for a couple of second and then 
myth exits back to the main screen, the following in the backend log :
